Score Gaming and media, the proprietor of theScore Bet, recently announced that the Colorado Division of Gaming had issued them authorization to launch its sports betting service in the state.
The firm will launch through a market access deal, which was sealed last January, with operator Jacobs entertainment.
John Levy, the CEO and Founder of theScore stated that they are excited to launch their service in Colorado later in August and showcase their incredible products to sports fans in the state. He added that this regulatory authorization is a significant milestone towards the operator’s expansion across various states.
As a result of a short period of unforeseen challenges, the firm saw its overall revenue drop 71.8 percent in the last three months ending the 31st of May. Its revenue for the period was generated from media activities after the closure of sports activities due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Department of Revenue in Colorado reported a rise in sports wagering this past June. Player spending also went up by 48.8 percent. At the same time, revenue for online sports and retail wagering totaled $2.2 million, a rise of 129.2 percent from last May’s $946741, the first licensed post-pandemic full month of actual sports betting in the state.
