There is High Expectation that Oklahoma Running Back Kennedy Brooks Will Re-unite with the Team on Wednesday

ncaa

After Oklahoma running back Kennedy Brooks was cleared in a Title IX investigation, the Athletic reports that there is high expectation that he will reunite with the team on Wednesday.

Kennedy had been suspended from OU summer activities after a female student filed a Title IX complaint alleging he had committed physical violence against her. She did not file a complaint with police. On Tuesday, the Athletic reported that the university’s Title IX office ruled in Brooks’ favor.

The last two years for the Oklahoma Sooners have been defined by Heisman Trophy-winning seasons for their quarterbacks. Baker Mayfield lit everyone’s hair on fire in 2017, and then Kyler Murray turned in one of the most ruthlessly efficient seasons in college football history in 2018.

He is listed at 5-11 and 205 pounds, the redshirt sophomore out of Mansfield possess all the elusiveness you could want. In his debut campaign he averaged 8.9 yards per carry (!) on 119 carries for 1,056 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Brooks only played in 12 games, but still led the Sooners in rushing yards, and he was a USA Today Freshman All-American. It is good to note that once you get past Brooks and Sermon on the depth chart, however, the roster at running back is thin.
