While poker is played by people throughout the world, tournament poker tends to be dominated by Americans. The following are some of the greatest players who have hailed form the US.

10. Antonio Esfandiari

Esfandiari’s family originated from Iran. He was known for being a successful magician before poker. He is now best regarded for winning the 2012 Big One for One Drop which is the single best prize in poker.

9. Phil Ivey

Ivey is a poker phenomenon and winner of 10 WSOP bracelets. He is only behind Phil Hellmuth in the all-time rankings. Ivey also remains his peers choice as the best all-round poker live player.

8. Steve O’Dwyer

O’Dwyer is considered as the best player to have never won a WSOP bracelet. The former EPT Champion has a unique command of fans and players attentions. He has even sat on the other side of the microphone and turned dry wit into an art form during poker events.

7. Daniel Colman

Colman won the Big One for One Drop after beating Daniel Negreanu. He had his year of achievement and after that did not really push hard. If he wants to, he could hit the big time again.
