Two More Swiss Casino Got Their License To Operate Renewed

Two Swiss casinos, Grand Casino Kursaal Bern AG and Interlaken AG, got their gaming licenses extended after the Swiss Federal Council granted them its approval.

The casinos will resume offering their services after the Federal Gaming Board (ESBK) approves it.

Casino Interlaken has been preparing for this for quite some time. The casino is preparing to launch its new gambling website that was developed (and will operate) under the StarVegas brand. Operated by Novamatic’s Beatya Online Entertainment, Starvegas is already operating in Spain and Italy and is eagerly awaiting its rookie season in Switzerland.

Grand Casino Kursaal Bern AG won’t launch any online operations yet, but it could be possible in the future because Casinos Austria International (which operates Bern AG) has partnered up with Betway.

Besides Grand Casino Kursaal Bern AG and Interlaken AG, four more casinos earned their approval in June. The ESBK still has to consider 21 land-based casino licensees.

There is still time for operators to apply and earn their licenses.
