Home » Ukraine’s President Delays Gambling Legalization

A delay is expected for gambling legalization in the Ukraine. President Volodymyr Zelensky was to approve the gambling bill by the end of 2019, but it is not to happen.

There are pending matters, such as the creation of a special commission for the control of gambling and development of an online monitoring system.

Dmitry Natalukha, Chairman of the parliamentary committee on economic policy, calls this a transition period, but it is just a delay.
But the legislation will pass given that the “Servant of the People” Party has a majority in parliament. But time could shift this position.

Eight registered bills are coming before the Ukraine Parliament, but they all needs amendments per the Economic and Tax Committee. The original version may be changed considerably.
