Universal Entertainment’s new slot machine will work with multiple currencies

Universal Entertainment, a Japanese manufacturer of slot machines, arcade games and other products, has announced that they have developed a new game machine that will be able to accept multiple currencies including Euros, US dollars, Hong Kong dollars, Yens, and Philippine pesos.

To an inquiry from JASDAQ stock exchange, Universal Entertainment officials responded:

”Up to now, it was only allowed to play any gaming machine using the bills of the country where a casino is operated or those of certain countries. This system has significant features enabling the use of bills of various foreign countries to save the time and effort of currency exchange, which will improve casino players’ convenience, and at the same time, significantly reducing the personnel cost associated with the money exchange services.”

The new machine will have an option that will allow the customers to choose among offered currencies during the play. This will be a boon for VIP users because now they will be able to avoid the long process of conversion. This is also going be a good thing for the casinos because not only the staff will be exempted from the long-lasting process of conversion, it will also require much less personnel to oversee the operations.

Universal Entertainment spokesman also added:

“The Slot Program Play System makes it possible to provide preferred customer services independently configured by casino operators to players who insert a certain amount of money or more in a casino slot machine within a certain period of time. It does so by systemizing the rolling programs that have been conventionally administered as preferred customer services at baccarat and other table games.”

Automatic slot machines are already present in the Philippine capital at Okada Manila venue.  Universal hopes to expand the application of these devices further away and to finally become a globally recognized brand.

About their plans for the future, the company officials added:

”Leverage to the maximum extent its proprietary technological development prowess as a manufacturer of amusement machines for the Japanese market and the advantages that it enjoys as the parent of a corporate group containing an IR casino operator in order to expand its casino-related operations going forward.”
