The Hammers have announced the £8m signing of striker Albian Ajeti from Basel.
The 22-year-old scored 15 goals in 35 appearances for the Swiss side last season and was involved in Switzerland’s quest for the Nations League title in June.
After signing a four-year deal, Ajeti said:
“I didn’t have to think twice about signing for such a big, traditional club in the Premier League.”
Ajeti becomes the Hammer’s sixth signing this summer following the likes of Roberto, David Martin, Pablo Fornals, Goncalo Cardosa and record signing Sebastian Haller.
It is understood that Mexico international Javier Hernandez will stay at West Ham this season.
