Sports wagering revenue in West Virginia went up in October after operators in the state were boosted following an increase in the usage of mobile betting platforms. Market revenue for the four weeks until 26 October reached $4.6 million. Players spent a total of $29 million on sports betting across retail and mobile.
The most popular form of sports betting was retail as revenue came in at $2.7 million for the month after consumers spent a massive $16.3 million at licenced venues in West Virginia. Mobile however shortened the gap as it had revenue of $1.8 million and handle of $12.7 million for the month.
