For reasons not known Elizeu Zaleski has not been booked against someone ranked in the top 15. Zaleski is riding a seven-fight winning streak that was capped off by a quick stoppage over Curtis Millender.
On Saturday night, UFC Zaleski reported that he was doing his part and putting on a good streak during the promotion and he hoped to do the best. He added that it was upon the company to book the fight and he really aspired to fight with someone ranked at least closer to the top five.
Zaleski has three “Fight of The Night “ wins over Lyman Good, Max Griffin and Omari Akhmedov he also scored highlight-reel finishes over Sean Strickland and Luigi Vendramini who did not earn him bonuses in 2018. He hopes that UFC will book him for elite competition.
Zaleski has two ideal opponents in his mind for his next bout when he comes back probably on July or August. In his view fighting with Leon Edwards, who is also coming off seven straight wins would be interesting as well as Colby who Zaleski regarded to talk much than he fights.
Covington is hoping to be the next in line for UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman while Edward has currently no fight booked.
Zaleski believes that the fellow ranked welterweights could be scared to face him; most of them don’t like fighting but want just to guarantee their spots. But he emphasized that they had to fight after all a fighter has to fight.
