Tottenham reportedly received an £14 million bid from Watford for Danny Rose and decided to keep him. The 29-year-old’s future was in limbo during the transfer window after being left out of Spurs pre-season tour squad last month.

Rose is now set to remain at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and he could play an important role for the team this season. The Lilywhites had an impressive transfer window, bringing in Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon, Giovani Lo Celso on loan from Real Betis and Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham.

Rose was one of the best players for Spurs during the latter parts of last season. While he is no longer the same player that he was a few years ago, he is still arguably better than Sessegnon as well as Ben Davies in the left-back role at the moment.
