Itai Frieberger is stepping down as Chief Executive of 888 effective immediately. He has held the title since March of 2016.
His replacement is said to be Itai Pazner and he will remain to support the transition.
Frieberger spent over fourteen years at 888, witnessing numerous strategic initiatives. He spent eight years on the executive team and was also chief operator officer and executive director.
888 says the board is grateful for Mr. Frieberger’s many years of service. It was not an easy decision to step down, but Frieberger felt it was the right time. He is very proud of what the company has achieved during his tenure.
“The global online gaming industry has changed beyond recognition. Despite this, the group has continued to achieve its strategic objectives and deliver for its stakeholders. This is down to the strength of our team and outstanding technology.”
He vocally backs Pazner to succeed in his new role.
“Itai Pazner is a fantastic operator with a tremendous passion for innovation, product development and the customer experience; we share the same approach, values and vision for the business.”
In related news, Aviad Kobrine, 888’s long-serving chief financial officer, is soon to step down after 15 years with the business. He will remain in the role until a successor is named.
