The Alliance of Football, AAF, collapse left an assortment of issues at hand. Stories of a lawsuit about unpaid bills have continued to emerge long after the closure of the league. But now, here is one positive move the league has done.
Before AAF was terminated, Orlando Apollos was the best in the league. AAF has finally presented the championship ring to Steve Spurrier to declare his team the league champion. Joe Kepner of WFTV reported that former AFF employees awarded Spurrier the championship ring on Friday.
Now Spurrier has a nice closure of his coaching career with Apollos.
Although the first season never ended, Fan Duel declared Apollos, the winner of the unfinished campaign. Orlando had a record of 7-1.
