Americas Cardroom makes history with the biggest online poker tournament ever hosted by US facing site

The Costa Rica based online poker provider Americas Cardroom has announced $5 Million Venom tourney, the biggest tournament not only in the company’s history but also in the collective history of all US facing poker sites, to take place between 14th and 24th July.

Americas Cardroom aims to be the first and the biggest

The poker site operator has been well known and well liked for its action-packed tournaments since 2001; however, the upcoming $5 Million Venom is to be its first ever multi-day tourney. While at it, the company decided it might as well be the biggest one in its field too and promised a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000 with the winner looking forward to taking impressive $1,000,000.

“You don’t need time travel to be invented if you want to experience the golden era of online poker. That’s because it’s happening this July at Americas Cardroom,” declared Michael Harris, the spokesperson for Americas Cardroom.

The life-changing contest is open to everyone

Even though the direct buy-in is set to $2,650, there is plenty of ways to qualify for much less. Players can win their seat for mere $4.40 if they succeed in the daily Satellites and Super Satellites that are being held in the time leading up to the big event. Should they wish to keep their wager even lower, they can try their luck on the Spin to Get IN slot machine requiring only a cent. And finally, for those who do not want to put in any money at all, there are Step Tournaments which are free when entered at the first step and will reward successful contestants with a guaranteed seat.

Three Day 1’s and $1 million prize in Bitcoin

Except for being the first and the biggest, the tournament stands out in other ways too. For one, its Day One does not take place on one specific date as you may expect but on three. In order to satisfy the huge demand and to offer the players maximum flexibility, three Day 1’s have been established: Day 1A is to be on Sunday, July 14th, Day 1B on Tuesday, July 16th, and Day 1C on Sunday, July 21st.

2, 3, and 4 will follow in a more traditional way on the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, respectively. According to the schedule all Day 1’s will see 12 hours of play, same as Day 2 unless the play is reduced to final 8 players before the time. If it is not, Day 3 will go on until only final table remains and on Day 4 the contestants at the final table will keep playing until one of them comes out victorious.

The lucky winner will receive their prize within minutes of their victory. This is because it is to be paid out via Bitcoin as the company wishes to show the world how dependable and fast the cryptocurrency is. However, should the player prefer to receive their reward in traditional currency, they can return the cryptocurrency and get the prize in USD.

Americas Cardroom offers great winnings on more fronts than one

At the same time as their giant $5 Million Venom, the online poker provider is bringing back its Online Super Series, whose start also lands on July 21st. The 3-part online poker tournament takes place over four weeks and consists of 160 events. This year marks the 7th OSS Cub3d and offers more than $13 million in total guarantees.
