Oct. 16, Brave — a new Cryptocurrency-powered web browser — made an outstanding announcement that its monthly active users have now reached 8 million.
A substantial increase in the number of its web advertisement network creators has also come about even as daily active users surpassed the 2.8 million mark.
In the past, only a couple of monopolies infiltrated almost each and every corner of the internet — but now, Brave is seeking to break the trend.
Brave’s Basic Attention Tokens (BAT)-powered advertisement platform has more than 290,000 Brave Verified Publishers subscribed and taking part.
Those publishers are composed of:
“200,000 of those are YouTube creators, 33,000 are website publishers or creators, 15,000 are Twitch streamers, and since we announced our support for Twitter tipping on Aug. 1, 28,000 Twitter accounts have joined to receive Basic Attention Tokens. ”
High user engagement for Brave
Out of the browser ads that had been launched on an opt-in basis more than six months ago, 385 campaigns have been concluded on its platform, and 97 million ad confirmation events have accumulated.
Brave ads were also considered to have high user engagement rates:
“Platform engagement is extremely high, with a click-through rate of 14% (the industry average is just 2%). More importantly, 12% of click-throughs result in page visits of 10 seconds or longer. There have been 2.36 million 10-second active page visits overall.”
Brave cited Intel (a renowned CPU producer) which bought ads from the browser to facilitate its Intel Gamer Days 2019 campaign.
As part of the initiative, the computer chip manufacturing giant supposedly utilized “Brave Ads as a social driver to reward participation for spreading the word about the upcoming Gamer Days events.”
The announcement also highlighted Grant Brave’s latest Ads that The Lupus Foundation of America obtained. Besides verifying their website as a Brave Creator, the foundation diverged away from the traditional contribution options as it enabled Brave Ads to drive people directly to their site so that they can subsequently tip and auto-contribute.
In Japan, Brave browser has evidently become more popular than its rivals such as Chrome Firefox, and Opera according to September crypto reports.
Over the last 24 hours, BAT’s value has increased by around 11.65%, and each coin was worth $0.226 per coin as of press time, according to Coin360 — cryptocurrency market data platform.
