Good news people, “Cameos on Google” is now on Android. Although the Q and A app created for celebrities was launched last August, it was only available on iOS up until now.
‘Cameos on Google’ allow celebrities the chance to be authorities on their platforms. They get to answer in their own style and voice, at their leisure time and have the chance to stay relevant and fresh.
The app works by taking advantage of posts already existing on Google. Google then groups questions in categories of; trending topics, for the fans and most asked by users.
As a celebrity you get to know which categories need your attention as you get to see notifications on each category.
Celebrities can then record their response and post. The response will then appear on Google when a related search comes up.
Android’s Cameos is pretty eye catching with elements such as a large recording button and a ‘slide to post’ tab at the bottom of the screen. Apart from that, the app’s background becomes blurred when the camera is not yet active with only the option tab showing on the screen.
When downloading the app on Android, you are required to sign up for an invite which is done by completing a form. Once that is done, you can now get personal with your fan base by answering their questions.
The app is not only convenient but can also be a tool that celebrities can use to get more fans.
