Many people are wondering whether Carmelo Anthony should be in the 2019 FIBA World Cup roster for Team USA.
As the team struggles in adding and removing players from its roster, it’s now clear that Carmelo will not be in the team. Carmelo had tried to get his name added into the list, but Jerry Colangelo refused to add the aging veteran.
Carmelo has been without a team right from the beginning of offseason, and it’s not yet clear whether he will continue with his career coming season. He might have wanted to use the FIBA World Cup as a springboard to allow him to get a new team in the NBA.
Though Carmelo will not play in the FIBA World Cup, there is one person who believes that he should be included-Mark Cuban.
The prominent NBA figure and owner of Dallas Mavericks said that he believes that Anthony should be included in the national team. He also added that there is no good reason for him not to be in the team.
