Max Homa Wins Well Fargo Championship in Charlotte-His First Career PGA Tour Win

Max Homa has struggled for much of his career but Sunday was a remarkable day, he picked up his first career PGA Tour Win as he won the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte by three strokes. With rounds of 69-63-70-67, he completed at 15 under and three shots clear of the field.

He missed 15 of 17 cuts in 2017. Homa talked about what kept him pushing through a streak of this loss. He was strong and never gave up, and worked his tail off. He said he’d shoot a ‘bazillion’ on Thursday and then go to the range and then shoot another the next day and ended missing the cut. Homa kept grinding daily, and at last, he has his first win.

His victory came at a cost though; he missed the game of thrones. Nonetheless, he seemed not to care much about missing that game though as he commented on Twitter that he didn’t care because Max already won and he jumped to NO.102 in the world.
