Online Gambling Operators of New Jersey has the perfect start in 2020. The operators have bettered the record in 2020 so far as compared to the previous online revenue total. New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) released data on Wednesday. As per the report, the licensed gaming operators have collected $55.1mn in January this year. This is a 64% increase in revenue as compared to the same month last year. It is also $5mn higher than the previous month’s revenue of December 2019.
The revenue reached the record figure despite online poker had a dip. The online poker generated $1.83mn which saw a monthly revenue dip of 2.7% as compared to the same month last year. However, the tally is bettered by $100K as compared to December 2019. The online casino has been the major contributor and generated $53.25mn in revenue for January 2020.
The Golden Nugget online casino led the charter and recorded an outstanding $21.2mn in January. This is $9mn higher than January 2019 and also better than the best record set by the online casino in November 2019. In November, the online casino collected $18.9mn revenue, best at that time. Betfair Casino from Flutter Entertainment, PlaySugarHouse from Rush Street Interactive and Bet America from Churchill Down also had their fair share.
Resorts Digital Gaming reported a very solid $11.9mn revenue in January as well. However, this was lesser than the December record which was $19.5mn. The StarGroup’s PokerStars contributed $635K to the Resorts Gaming revenue in January.
The Borgata sites set a new record of $10.4mn in January 2020 bettering the previous best of $9.23mn, set a month before. The contribution from poker was around $479K.
The Casino online site from Tropicana generated $4.36mn. The next best was the Caesars Interactive which generated $4.23mn. The online poker managed to contribute $718K in January for Caesars.
The Hard Rock Atlantic City whose operations include Bet365 and Unibet had also good January with $2.46mn. Ocean Casino Resorts on the other side collected $531K.
New Jersey Online Gambling Market collected revenue of $482.7mn in 2019, a 61.6% increase as compared to 2018. However, with January revenue already out, this looks a matter of time for the operators to better this record further in 2020.
