Pundi X Successfully Completes Integration of Crypto Payments in Traditional POS Terminals


Pundi X — Cryptocurrency payments startup — has stated that it has managed to integrate crypto payments system into an American point-of-sale (POS) systems device.

Per the July 12 release, the XPOS crypto payments module has successfully been integrated on the X990 Android-based POS terminal.

VeriFone — the American point-of-sale (POS) systems producer — carried out this initiative with the purpose of enabling numerous retailers to allow cryptocurrencies payments.

Specifically, the startup made the following opinions:

“With this integration, shops and retail outlets using the VeriFone X990 with XPOS module activated will now be able to process cryptocurrency payments alongside traditional transactions.”

Bitcoin, Binance Coin, Ether, Kyber Network, Nem (XEM), KuCoin Shares and Pundi X. Using the XWallet app or Pundi XPASS cards, transactions between cryptocurrencies and fiat will run automatically out in the device.

VeriFone has actually more than 35 million devices spread across over 150 countries, which enables it to gain a $1.8 billion in revenue annually according to Crunchbase estimates.

Betting on the fact that the central bank wants within three years to relinquish its anti-cryptocurrency stance, Pundi X started to roll out its cryptocurrency POS gadgets within Indonesia in June last year.

This news comes when Fold — the United States-based payments startup — earlier this week enabled big retailing companies like Starbucks, Uber, Amazon, and other big retailers to implement Lightning Network payments.
