Russell Westbrook Isn’t My Foe-Acknowledges Damian Lillard-But a Courtyard Competitor

nba

Portland Trail Blazers All-Star point guard, Damian Lillard, acknowledges that he has never hated Russell Westbrook. In 2019 playoff, Blazers won the five-game Series against Oklahoma City Thunder. In this series, Damian and Westbrook played back and forth in virtually all games prompting people to think that they hated each other.

It’s however clear that the two were just courtyard competitors but not foe. Every team will like a player who doesn’t back down from anyone.

In April, Damian agreed that he and Russell are friends off the court. To many, Westbrook is always not nice to the opponent on the basketball. They were just trying to win for their teams at any cost. They don’t need to be friendly in the courtyard.

Now, Westbrook will lead Houston Rockets to NBA finals. On the other hand, Trail Blazers will do all that they can to acquire the elite status in 2019-20 season.

Thus, the battle in court between Lillard and Westbrook will continue. It will be interesting to watch the game between Blazers and Rockets next season.
