Valley Forge Casino to Open Fourth Physical Sportsbook in Pennsylvania

Modern Casino

Valley Forge Casino Resort opened a sportsbook to take in-person bets on March 13th in partnership with FanDuel. It is the fourth physical sports book in Pennsylvania and the first FanDuel partnership in the state.

Boyd Gaming owns the casino located in Upper Merion Township just outside of King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. The company received a license in late 2018 to start a physical sports book.

FanDuel began its foray into the physical sports book business last year in New Jersey, and the company is looking to expand into different markets.

In a press release, Matt King, CEO of the FanDuel group said,

“opening the FanDuel Sportsbook at Valley Forge Casino Resort is the start of FanDuel Group’s retail sports betting expansion in partnership with Boyd Gaming.”

The Valley Forge Casino recently expanded their operation by adding 250 slot machines and is currently undergoing a $40 million renovation.

Former Philadelphia Eagles tight end, Brent Celek attended a ribbon cutting ceremony to commemorate the opening of Valley Forge’s betting operation.

Gamblers will be allowed to place bets on professional baseball, basketball, soccer, football, golf, boxing, motorsports, and collegiate football and basketball.

Sports betting is one of the largest growing gambling markets in the United States, and eight states now have fully legal sports gambling services.
