Solskjaer’s men may have had a poor start this season but have managed to stay fourth on the Premier League Table. The match against Leicester City has proven that Man U’s boss should really restrategize his attack team.
The opening weekend against Chelsea ending with 2-0 was also successful but with a stronger attack, the Red Devils would have done better.
Anthony Martial’s absence has weighed down the club and Perreira placed on the right doesn’t seem to work out.
The Brazilian’s performance was not satisfactory through the match against Southampton which ended in a draw. He also struggled when playing against Leicester which clearly shows that his place is not the right back.
Perreira may be good with quality passing, shooting and crossing but his place is the central. Ole had been impressed by the Brazilian’s score against Saints and thought he would cover for Martial’s absence.
The attack team options have been limited following Lukaku and Sanchez’s departure leaving Solskjaer to source for players from the academy. Man U’s 17 year old Mason Greenwood could be the best shot for Thursday’s game against Astana.
Greenwood had played at the right in pre-season and seemed pretty well so United’s manager shouldn’t worry about betting on him. Together with Daniel James and Marcus Rashford, Greenwood would be the cog to complete Ole’s attack team. Ferreira could then comfortably shift back to his central.
For the match against Kazakhstan, Tahith Chong and Angel Gomes are likely to be featured and with these touchups, Man U fans should expect a big win. Stay tuned!
