Ian Wright Urges Everton To Sign Player On Long-Term Deal

Ian Wright has urged Everton to sign Andre Gomes on a long-term deal. Gomes has spent the season with the Toffees on loan from Barcelona. He was largely impressive for Marco Silva’s side as he went on to make 27 Premier League appearances, scoring one goal and recording one assist.

Gomes does not look like he is in the future plans of the Blaugrana so there is a good chance that he will be sold by them this summer. Though it remains to be seen to whom he will be sold. He will definitely be able to add value to Silva’s side though the Merseysiders may face intense competition in the race to secure his signature.

Wright feels that Everton will be able to improve if they keep Gomes in their squad ahead of next season.

“Gomes, are they going to be able to keep him? If they can keep people like that, Everton are going to cause a bit of a problem next season,”

he told BBC’s Match of the Day program.
