Rafael dos Anjos Hopes to Get Things Back in Saturday’s UFC on ESPN+10

After going through a handful of possible fight options Rafael dos Anjos finally made up his mind to fight with Kelvin Lee (17-4 MMA, 10-4 UFC) in Saturdays UFC ON espn+10.

Nick Diaz (26-9 MMA, 7-6 UFC) was one of the options Anjos would have gone to, but he had his reasons. Diaz has not fought since January 2015 and is by all accounts retired. Though it is a match, Anjos would have enjoyed he wouldn’t risk because of Diaz unpredictable nature.
The former UFC champion dos Anjos also talked about the other options that he had, including MMA Junkie, at UFC on espn+10 open workouts, (Santiago) Ponzinibbio (Jorge) Masvidal and even (UFC matchmaker) Sean (Shelby).

Kelvin is a top contender at lightweight division and Anjos admitted that his opponent is a tough guy and a good wrestler as well and he hopes that it will be a good fight. Anjos is currently on a two-fight losing skid and wants the victory to re-enter the title contender conversation, which he was at the forefront just one year ago.

Anjos pointed out that he wasn’t in a good situation after coming off two losses back to back, but he said that he is capable of turning things around. He has a family that looks up to him, and he has to make things work.

Anjos has five fights in his new division. Three wins, two losses to current champion and interim champion and he looks forward to winning on Saturday night.
