New Orleans Pelicans are making a lot of progress to keep Anthony Davis in the franchise for a long term. ESPN report that Pelicans executive vice president David Griffin met on Wednesday and started a discussion about the future of Davis.
As for now, Davis has a trade demand on the table. However, there is a hint that Pelican will keep him.
Davis had requested a trade, but since then, there has been a lot of change. Pelicans have won Williamson draft lottery and hired Griffin as coach. Griffin believes he can convince Davis that he can build a contender around him. Though this may not guarantee his stay, as the dialogue continues, the hopes are high for Pelicans fans and other stakeholders.
